PC OR MAC as monitor & storage on-the-go ?
hi,
i just got 2 new HVX200, 2x 32g cards and a 160g firestore plus a macbook pro with fcs2. Lovely. btw, the first in Azerbaijan!
But i’m one of those poor sods who can’t afford a real HD monitor (the organisation’s budget just won’t allow it).
From my own modest pocket – and since i’m supposed to be doing a lot of training – i also got the HVX bootcamp series, Gary Adcock’s ‘Inside the HVX 200’ and a couple of other training / tutorial DVDs.
But i feel that i need some other Monitor to see & show what i’m doing ‘live’. The folks i’m training have to start from scratch, learn composition, light, why i get upset when they start zooming, etc.
A friend told me wants to try attaching an Archos 604, because it works great in sunlight – that just sounds weird to me.
I was hoping to get a small-ish laptop, also for storing files and perhaps even burning data DVDs using p2cms.
Is there an elegant, cheap solution for both viewing and storing while in the field?
