when creating a path the paths pallete on the right shows a little grey icon of your image and as you start pathing the inside of the image your pathing goes white on that icon…or so it should! mine has turned the other way round and has grey in the middle and white as the background and i dont know how to get it back to normal. this results in when i try placing the photoshop image in an indesign document it just come up white- no image. please help!

In the add/subtract/intersect/exclude options on the right hand of the options toolbar for the path tool, “subtract” may be selected. This can cause what you’re experiencing (great for the 7% of times you want to cut holes out of things.)

where is the options? im using cs3 by the way. in that palette i just have layers, paths and channels..
