Activity Forums Adobe Encore DVD Patch

  • Posted by Vasco Daneva on April 10, 2014 at 2:31 pm

I have a 1 hour film that I encoded for BluRay and when I imported in into Encore I realized I had accidentally erased a 20 second segment which is now a black space in the Encore Timeline.
Instead of encoding the whole thing again, is there a way to insert only the missing piece into its place? Patch it, as it were?
    Thanks,
    Vasco

If you imported a transcoded file, and deleted a section in Encore, just reimport. I would first try undo.

The problem is that I had accidentally erased a 20 second segment while still in Premiere before encoding. Therefore the encoded file arriving at Encore has a 20-second black space in the middle of it. It is that segment that I wondered if I could patch.
    Thanks,

I think you should just bite the bullet and retranscode so you have a single correct movie. Any workaround invites problems in Encore.

    Will do. Thanks, Stan.
