    hi i am working on a project using both premiere pro and after effects i have my video snips all in the time line in premiere where i want them i right click the snip of footage i want and choose replace with ae comp…..Ae opens i give the comp a name …

    in the project window i have my comp but it is empty 🙁

    i have also tried starting Ae creating a new comp to the same specs as my premiere project right clicking the clip i want in premeier copying it the going back into my comp edit then paste but nothing at all happens its as if its not being copied 🙁 any help or advise would be very very very appreciated my system is as below

    quad core 2.4ghz
    4 gb ram
    windows 7 ultimate 64
    nvidia 9600gt 512ram
    adobe cs5 masters collection

    Try importing your Premiere project in AE- open the comp there and do your fx/graphics- render and import back to Premiere. That workflow is a sure one.

    hi ted thanks for replying thats a cool way to do it but on cs4 on xp i could just open a new comp right click copy in prem and then paste in ae just seems bizare how it will not work in windows 7 with cs5 i also have a problem with mocha v2 for ae everytime i try to load a .avi or a .mov file i get a unable to read movie:make sure the file is readable error come up i am my wits end with it i have been on to adobe but yet no reply:(
