Pasting Mocha Masks in AE – Error
Posted by Ben Woody on July 2, 2013 at 4:27 pmWhen attempting to paste a hand full of masks that I have created in Mocha V3 into AE, many of my masks are completely deformed and incorrect. I have screen shots available to further explain this bug. Has any one encountered this before? I am not sure how to get around it.

July 3, 2013 at 1:55 amThat looks freaky. Have you tried pasting as mochaShapes rather than masks? You should get the folks at Imaginner Systems have a look at this – https://forum.imagineersystems.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55.
Good luck

July 3, 2013 at 2:34 pmI am not sure how mocha shapes work, I have never used that feature before. What is the difference?

July 3, 2013 at 6:03 pmThe mochaShape effect creates mattes. The down side is that you can’t tweak the edges like you can with a mask.
To paste mocha spline date, you copy/export from mocha and simply CTRL+V onto a selected white solid (for use as a matte) or directly onto the backing plate.

July 8, 2013 at 3:18 pmIt is possibly that the tracking related to the mask was doing something strange. If you look at the surface in mocha and see the corners crossing, this could be the issue.
If you ever see issues like this, it is best to contact the mocha support team direct: https://www.imagineersystems.com/contact_form
