Paste text
Is it possible to copy text from a word document or internet page and paste it into after effect. I have tried to do this but it only paste in a url that I copied previously. Any ideas would be really helpful. Thanks!

yes, you should be able to copy and paste text into a text layer or into the text (or path text) effect. if you are only getting a previously copied piece of text (the url) then there is some other problem.
if you are pasting a large amount of text into a text layer (like a page or two), i would recommend pasting it into a photoshop or illustrator file and importing it into ae. ae, for what ever reason, has a tough time with a large amount of text (i suppose its related to rasterizing). pre-comping the text layer can help too.
