Paste something and ripple all properly
Basically I’d like to paste a new event/clip right in the middle of several other tracks and have them split to make room for it.
Is that possible? Or do I need to split all tracks at that point and then ripple insert…
EDIT: Even when splitting all tracks, I get this:
Picture 1 is the insert point. Picture 2 is what happens with auto ripple on. It doesn’t insert it where I’ve selected and adds a gap as well.
Any tips here?

Hmm… I think I got this figured out. More or less. It seems insert at point by clicking the top left folder icon and dragging and dropping and CTRL-V pasting all did different things. In the end, I opened it on another track without ripple, then split all tracks where it was intended to insert and then cut an CTRL-V into the spot.
