Paste Metadata function?
Alright, forum haters, get ready to call me a fool…
How do I paste metadata? The manual just says copy the clips, then “choose paste metadata.” Hm…
It doesn’t show up in the edit window when I try this, nor when I ctrl-click on source clips. Where is it usually, I’ve searched all the top menus.

Woohoooo! I get to contribute. Just had this question recently. Have to change in the preferences pane under general, make sure ADVanced is selected. That will unlock the paste metadata field in your edit dropdown.

If you’re asking the question I think you are, it’s not that silly.
Command-C, your regular copy command actually copies the metadata if you have a clip selected. (It’s not obvious in the docs.)
Then you can do as the post says, select “Paste Metadata” from your “Edit” menu.

Thanks a lot, you two! Yeah, I looked everywhere for the command, not realizing it had to be enabled. CatDV might want to update their reference guide on that just a smidge…
