    Hi,

    I’m looking to create a similar silhouette lighting of the Norman McLaren Pas de deux as seen here:

    I’ve got no experience with this kind of stage lighting, but I’m guessing two fresnels from the sides pointed towards the camera a bit? I will probably have the subjects wear white to emphasize the silhouettes and I’d underexpose to keep the background black.

    Any advice on how to pull this off?

    I think you’re on the right track.

    Decently strong light from both stage right and stage left.

    Try to keep the contrast between lit and unlit on the subject as high as you can.

    In post, desaturate and crank up the contrast.
