partition g-raid?
Posted by Liam Lawyer on June 14, 2007 at 7:40 pmGreetings all!
Just got some 1gb G-raids – is there any advantage to partitioning them? Will this actually add any security to my data? Does it add any speed value to FCP?
Thanks!

No, but there are disadvantages.

If the drives are too fast and you want to slow down your read/writes to disk, then partition them.

Thanks!

NO to all of the above
it will decrease recovery chances,
slow read / write to the drives and slow scratch disk speed.gary adcock
