I searched the old posts but couldn’t find anything, I’m sure that this has been covered before. I am trying to have some smoke travel behind a 3D text (invigorator) and then use the wind velocity to blow that smoke through the letters and have the smoke be obscured by the text. For now it is either in front of or behind the text. I tried just a 3D .ai layer as well. I feel like there is something little I just don’t see.

Did you tell Particular to use your other layers as “Obscuration Layers”?

Yes, I did enable the obsuce layer within particular. It never worked out and I just ended up cheating it and going a different route. Still, I would like to know if does work.

It works. if your layer settings are correct. It needs to be a 3D layer and just have a proper alpha. No idea why it shouldn’t work for you.
