    Hi there.

I have a cloud of particles made using particular, and a camera with depth of field.

When I spin the particle cloud on one of it’s axis (within the particular/emitter parameters) I can see it spinning in front of me, 75% of the time.

When I make some keyframes and then play it back, there is no rotation… Tried playing with a few settings like emitter size (I’m using grid type) but I can’t make it work. I’ve made this work before with no problem. The only thing I’m doing different is using D.O.F camera.

    any ideas??

are you spinning the emitter or the camera…?

for what i think you want, you’ll want to be rotating the camera around the cloud, rather than rotating the emitter as it is emitting…

I agree with Kevin. And I would also add that you should try to parent your camera to a 3D Null, place the 3D Null in the same (or near) XYZ position as your Particlar layer, and then animate the Null’s rotation values. This makes for much easier method of orbiting the camera around any point than trying to do it using a combination of the camera’s position and rotation/orientation values.

    Good Luck,

    Hi, thanks to you both.

Yes – I was rotating the emitter, not the cloud.
