What I’m trying to do is very similar to andrew kramers ipod tutorial the only differenc is I don’t care about the 3d space and I want the Emitter to travel along a path instead of using a wiggle espression. I created a spline path that I liked then copied and pasted it into the position field of the emitter. It follows the path but instead of making the smooth arcs that my bezier curve had it makes sharp turns so I’m getting more of a “>” then a “)” look to the motion. Does anyone know how to make the emitter move in a smoother fashion?

Your emitter moves too fast. There is a limit to the precision of the interpolation. Stretch out your aniamtion by an even factor like 4(select all keyframes, then Alt+drag), then-pre-compose and use time stretching to 25% on the pre-comp to speed up the animation again.

    Hi,

i am getting crazy since i have seen this effect. I am trying to reproduce it, with a camera moving in 3d, following the movement of a walking video in place of the black background… i will sleep in my office tonight i think.. About your problem, the guy talk about it at the end of the demo, in the last 30 seconds i would say. You need to increase the comp frames/second to 90 and adjust the frame rate to 90 as well. My english is not good so check the demo again if i am not clear enaugh 😉 https://ayrshire.creativecow.net/articles/kramer_andrew/nano/index.htm
    Hope it helps
