unless i am miss understanding you, it is very easy to key frame the partials per sec. just animate that and you are good to go.

i tried Time Sampling: start at birth. ist nearly that what i wanted.
but now only the dropped numbers are changing. the numbers near the emitter are always 10. i need an emitter like a countdown where evere second the output is changing.

    any idea?

    thx

i would mess around with some hold key frames. this way you can frame 1 emitting 1000 particles frame 2 0 particles, then jump to 2 seconds and emit 2000 particles then a frame later 0 particles and so on. try this out if not please give me a better idea of what u are trying to do, hope this helps.
