  • Particles with dynamics – turn off gravity and bounce away – How?

Posted by Brian Murphy on November 9, 2011 at 8:15 pm

If I have rigid body tag on my particles and they collide with a large object, I want them to bounce away and never come back. This would, I assume, involve turning off the gravity…how can I do this? Currently I have the emitter above the scene, the SPEED on the emitter is set to 0, so the dynamic gravity is letting the particles fall, however when they collide with the object in the scene, they bounce up and come back down, only to bounce again.

    Thanks,
    Brian

if using an emitter you might be able to just place a destructor at the height you want them to be destroyed, upload your file and I’ll take a look.

I was assuming he was using standard, but you can kill particles with both in various ways.
