Particles spiraling inwards?
I’m trying to make particles that start from a disc, then spiral upward to a point. I’m using CS4. I’ve tried using Particle Systems II and Particle World, but their Vortex setting will only travel outward. Likewise, Particular’s Spherical Field will bring them to a point, but won’t make them orbit around the Y axis like I want. Any suggestions?

Got it. Used a conjunction of the Spherical Field and animating the Y rotation in the World Transform rollout. It’s still not perfect, though. Anybody know another way?

1. Make a comp where you make the particles spin outwards
2. Precompose the comp
3. Make it play the precomposed comp backwards= It looks like the particles spin inwards 😉
