  • Particles rotate from an emitter under a cloner?

Posted by Brian Murphy on April 28, 2011 at 9:49 pm

    Hi all,

If I have an emitter under a cloner and have particles emitting, I want those particles to tumble in the air, like confetti falling. I can get them to fall and land on the floor, but they fall without rotating. Any way to do this? I know I can rotate the particles but they rotate AFTER they land if I do that. I need to rotate within the dynamics system.

I read about using an effector but I can’t make it work.

    Any help?

    Thanks a lot!

Have you tried the rotation settings in the emitter itself? I’ve never put an emitter into a cloner, but I should think that would still work.

Assuming that you’re using dynamics or modynamics, assign a custom initial rotation in the rigid body tag.
