    Well, the latest release of trapcode particular (4) has fluid dynamics so you’re probably right. I don’t have it so I can’t test it.

    What’s wierd is that his oldest video dates from 2016 and he has the same effects, I don’t think Trapcode fluid dynamics was available back then

    He’s not using After Effects at all to do it. The Adobe forum thread talks about the software he is using. We’re just talking about ways you could do similar things in AE. 🙂

    That is a correct assumption. I was mistaken. So either a more robust particle system (ones in 3d applications). Or a custom thing he did and he wants to keep his secrets.

    The good thing is you can come up with something similar but still original then.
