particles for fire?
Can you make fire with C4D that looks like fire? I’m guessing that it’s done with particles (no doubt).
is it pyrocluster only?

Actually even with Thinking Particles and Pyrocluster that’s no trivial task – as in any other program. I think – if ever – that would be the only viable option in C4D at the moment. The standard particle system is definitely unsuitable for this. Still, it all hinges on your experience and patience, so if you have immediate needs and don’t have the practice, perhaps look into other options such as composing in real shots of fire or using animated textures.
