    Hi,

I am trying to get a cone light source to show the full extent of the beam as if there is lots of dust in the light’s path. It took me a second to realize that this would not happen naturally because there is nothing in the ‘air’ to reflect off of. At first I tried making a large Particle emitter (with very tiny particles) that encompassed the light source, but the light would not reflect off of the particles from either particle world of particular. SO simulating air and dust is out of my reach. Does anyone know of an easy way to get light to show a full beam. Or of a a way to get particles to react to light?

Any response or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you’re willing to spend a bit of money you could buy Trapcode ‘Lux’ which adds volumetric lighting to ordinary after effects lights.

Yes, that is exactly what I needed! It took me a few minutes to get the desired effect. Thank you very much.
