Alright, so two days ago I began a new comp for which the first step was creating a layer, applying the particle world effect, and applying the necessary alterations. Among these is simply causing the particles to flow inward, back toward what would normally be the source. When I began the comp two days ago, I achieved this by setting the velocity to a negative value (mine was -1.5). Today, this does not cause the same result. Instead, it seems to change something else about the particle pattern but I cannot figure out what exactly. I’ve started new comps, but it still doesn’t work. I’m worried that there has been some sort of software corruption, has anyone else experienced this sort of problem?

Did you increase the Producer Radius?
Also, using negative velocity does not produce an “inwards effect” with animation systems such as Twirly and Cone Axis.

I’m using the ‘expolosive’ animation physics. Yes, I have manipulated the producer in pretty much every way possible, then reset and tried again, but cannot get it to work. Very frustrating, because I’m worried that other elements of the program might be similarly malfunctioning without my knowledge.

If you need a reference to compare with, here’s a simple inwards movie.

    All default except,
    Radius : 0.5, 0.5, 0.5
    Velocity : -0.5
    Gravity : 0.0
