I’m trying to make my cannon particles rise like bubbles, but rise around the edges of a letter. I want the particles to avoid the letter, but continue to rise to the top of frame and stay somewhat together. I’ve tried reading the particle playground help pdf, but it’s not doin’ it for me. I can’t seem to link the repel feature to my text layer correctly. Any hints?

    Thanks in advance…

    Use Foam. (included in AE)

Create a flow map in a precomp.

That should do it. Foam’s more intended for bubble use anyway, check it out!
