particle playground to reveal a layer
Hi there,
I am trying to reveal a layer using a particle cannon. The idea is to let a particle cannon shoot bubbles (the layer map is a .psd of a bubble) across the screen. When the bubbles reach the right hand side, they should reveal a glass. I suppose i have to set the .psd of the glass as a propertymapper in order to let the bubbles “stick” or keep floating at the same spot in order to reveal the glass shape.
I guess another way would be to let the glass layer explode using the bubble as a layer map, render it and then reverse the footage. Is particle playground able to let a layer explode in 1 direction (in this case right to left)?
I have been playing around with particles for some hours now but obviously there is something i don’t get. I’m not even getting close to desired effect. Could someone put me on track (how to prepare the layer for the popertymapper for example and which parameters to use to let the particles float) or provide a link to a decent explanation of how particle playground works?
Thanks a lot,
simon robbrecht
