Ok. This is probably a pretty basic request, but I’m still rather green in regards to this particle system. I’ve looked for other tutorials and dug through the help files and have had no luck.

I’m using a layermap of an image (in this case a coin) as a particle. And here is what I’d like to accomplish. Instead of a steady stream of constant coins, I want one huge burst.

So, imagine a cannon shooting a ton of coins in the air all at once. After the initial blast, the coins would go into the air and then fall. The stream of coins from the cannon wouldn’t continue indefinitely.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

…wait. I’m an idiot and I answered my own question. How about taking the velocity of the cannon from a high value in one frame to 0 in the next.

    GENIUS!

It might push you in the right direction to say this:

Set your Particles per Second to a very high number, then one frame afterward, set it to zero.
