Looks like crap the same way.
I gotta find out why when I try to save to AVI, I can’t select save alpha, why are all settings locked?
I just find out if I try to import an avi video,PI crashes…………….always.

    What software?
I don’t understand your question, I create smoke with PI then open it in Vegas.

[Joao Souza] “I gotta find out why when I try to save to AVI, I can’t select save alpha, why are all settings locked?”

    Hmmm…

Here are all my AVI options and therefore my Settings for AVI are live:-

You have NO live AVI options?

My PI is different than yours(mine is 3.0), that save output box has only settings for file output, codec options are in the second box, only with avi options are locked, I can’t check save alpha channel box.
Here1s save output box, all settings are blocked, I click ok then a second box let me choose a codec but still I couldn’t check save alpha box.

[Joao Souza] “I can’t check save alpha channel box.”

I just ignore that and click OK. Then I get the CODEC stuff.

    My PI is 3.09.

So you don’t know why save alpha box is locked or how I could unlock it?

If you’re asking, then my best guess would be that you need to go to the next Screen select the AVI that allows for ALPHA, which works for me, and then, as I’ve experienced, click the save ALPHA.

I already said more than 3 times that options are locked no matter whatever codec I choose.
Codecs are in the second box so once I chose a codec, I can’t return to the 1st box.

A friend of mine jus brought me PI 3.04.
It looks like yours and……………..when I click RENDER it says = Could not find an acceptable pixel format!
What the hell does that mean?
    LOL

Do you think you need to reinstall Particle Illusion? Sounds like parts of the program aren’t aware of what you’ve installed. Have you got the latest version to install?

    What do you think?

I found the problem, when I click render it asks if stage should be 100%, I have to set NO then it works.
Graham thanks for your patience 😉
