Bit of a tricky photo retouch to do. Any tips and/tricks would really help.

I have an image of a book cover that has a lot of variance across the cover. There are horizontal stripes of three different colors. There’s colored text across the width of the cover. In addition the book sat on a shelf for years and jutted out just a tad from the other books on the shelf. This bit that jutted out faded. I need to restore the colors in the faded bit. What’s the most efficient way to get good results quickly? I could break it up by color and try to match the colors one at a time, but there’s a lot to keep track of. Is there a better way?

isolate each color bar on it’s own layer by selecting it and feathering the edges so the blend smoothly with the other bars. color correct each bar for your target color. keep teaking it until you get all four bars to match as close as possible.
