Partial MXF Video Transfer
Hi,
I copied the P2 contents folder to an external hard drive recently and found that some mxf files were missing (after reformatting the P2 card of course). The bmp and xml files are accounted for, but there are no mxf files to reference in the VIDEO folder for 40 or so clips.Do P2 files sometimes not fully copy?

When you were shooting, did you delete any clips in the camera? If so, the Video files would be gone, but the thumbnails would still be there.

We had watched the footage off the camera, but I did not delete anything or so I thought. I would have had to manually delete these by hitting a delete button, right? Could have been the intern.

You would have to manually delete them in the camera.
Did you drag them over via the Finder? I hear people have issues with files going missing doing that. Best to use something like Shotput P2 by imaginesoftware.com that will verify that everything is copied over.
