Parenting Single Layer to different nulls at layer markers

You can’t change which layer something is parented to at different times in the composition.

Why wouldn’t you just have the layer parented to a single item and have the parent layer’s animation change as needed?

thanks for the replies.

Thing is that i have different nulls each containing different animations, so I’d like to have my main layer follow these animations (separetely through out the timeline) where for example from 1′ to 10″ it has the null 1 animation, then from 11″ to 25″ it has the null 2 animation and so on.
But you can repeat and call again one of the null animations.

I think the closet you can come is to split the layer at the time where you want to switch parents, and select the other parent for the new layer.
