  • Parenting on CC2018 is all whacky

    Whenever I parent a layer to another one in CC2018 the child layer skews, I have no idea why.
    Is there a way to revert the tool’s functionality to the way it worked on CC2017?

    nothing has change in that regard in CC2018. if the child skews upon parenting this probably means you got non-uniform scale in the parent, and applied rotation to the child….

    It does have non-uniform scale but up until the previous version of AE the child didn’t get distorted the moment it was parented, now it immediately gets skewed in a very bizarre way. I had to apply the corner pin effect to it in order to bring it back to normal.

    please show a full screenshot and highlight both layers and press UU so we can see all the modified properties.
