Hi! I’m trying to composite a phone screen onto a 3D model of a smartphone that I’ve imported with Element 3D. I tried simply parenting the screen layer (which is 3D enabled) to the Element layer, but when I move the Element layer around, the screen is offset due to their differing positions in Z-space. Since the Element layer is technically 2D, I’m not sure how to align their Z-positions. What is the proper way to do this so that the screen and phone are aligned?

You can create a group null object and parent your screen to that. Or, if your 3D model allows, you can set a custom texture as the screen.

FYI, here’s a screenshot of how to create the null object.
