it just sorta does its own thing. it moves, but totally not following my object. This has me pretty baffled. Do lights not like to accurately follow these sorts of objects? Am I forgetting something?

    I appreciate any help, thanks!

Im not sure why they did this. But it seems like in the newer versions of after effects you can no longer parent a light to a null and zero it out. Instead you have to copy the positions xyz, paste it into the light position, then parent it. Im not going crazy am i? You used to be able to parent then hit 0,0,0.
