Parent of Parent Pos
Im using a Beam effect to connect 2 different layers with a line. I usually pickwhip the start and end to the according layers positions, but in this case those layers are parented to a layer, thats also parented to another layer. I tried value + and manually put it in place but it didnt stay locked to it. How can i accomplish this?

L = thisComp.layer(“your layer”);
L.toComp(L.anchorPoint)Dan

i actually found that answer in my research before my post and i just get an “Expected” error. im supposed to replace “your layer” with the layer im trying to follow right? Even though that layer is also parented to another layer? Either way i tried i just get the Expected error.
