Parabolic microphone parts???
I’m trying to build a portable parabolic that can be mounted on a stand but am having significant difficulty getting a dome to use for the reflector. It doesn’t actually have to be plexi-glass, but it needs to be break-resistant and relatively light so that one person could move it from post to post.
Any links or ideas where to find a parabolic dome at, or about 24-36″ in diameter?

Sony did a very nice parabolic tv aerial several years ago about 50 cm across – I have seen people modify these for sound using a good lav’

Yeah, I found that…but I’m looking to replace the dome on an older Audionics piece that, sadly ha been out of production for a few years. Basically, I’m trying to track down a dome that can be used in the place of the old plexi-dome. It still works well, but it’s discolored to the point that it looks as if it’s seen years of better service, and even a coat of paint doesn’t make it look worthy of the road. Anyway, thanks for the input and let me know if any other ideas come about.
