Does anyone know of any tutorials or techniques for doing Paper cutout animation in Cinema? I plan on using stills (sorta like the video on Dropbox.com, which I know was real stop motion) I’m not going to shoot any video, the basic idea is to animate a scene using stills, but have the versatility of adding 3d elements within. Never tried this technique before so I have no clue. Any help would be appreciated at this point.

    Thanks!

I don’t know the video to which you refer, but there are multiple ways to do what you’re talking about. One would be to just create planes for your paper bits and then creating the alpha for the torn edges with Photoshop.
