I’m about to install Panther on my Mac G4 1.42 GHZ. I know…I know…but my editing system has always worked flawlessly, and I was afreaid to update it for fear of failure.

Now as my SCSI drives are failing, I’ve decided to go to SATA drives which reqire the upgrade. My questions are:

    1. Anything I should look out for going from 10.2.8 to Panther?
    2. Will any of my SCSI drives be affected, or should the upgrade be seamless?
    3. I’ve heard that you should back up your system first. How do i do that?

Any other advice? Thanks so much!
