panning single channel of audio to center

March 23, 2018 at 2:55 pmI have what seems to be a simple question. I have a bunch of clips provided to me with interview audio only on the left (Ch1) channel. All I’m looking to do is to pan the audio in the timeline to center so that the single channel is on both tracks of the final clip. Seems pretty straightforward but I don’t seem to be able to find any pan controls for these clips.
Any solution to the problem I’m obviously missing here?
Thanks. Not my monkeys. Not my circus.

March 23, 2018 at 3:39 pmWell…I found a quick way to do this. Nit sure if it’s the right way but it works in this case.
Highlight the clip. Go to Clip Attributes>Audio. Change the clip from Mono to Stereo. In the pull down menu “Patch” the embedded Channel 1 audio to the right channel as well. Same audio will now be on both channels in the time line. Not my monkeys. Not my circus.

January 9, 2019 at 1:51 pmHi all. Here’s the way to pan your single channel of audio to centre in Resolve.
In the left hand side of the audio tracks controls, control click (right clic) and choose ‘Change Track Type To’ then in the drop down choose ‘Mono’.
Simple as that.
Hope that works for you all. Dan
