I am recording an audio project with Vegas8. I recorded a guitar and vocal track in Mono. When I try to pan the audio on either track I can see the levels go to one side (like it is panning) but I do not hear the results in my monitors. I tried converting to a stereo track and then panning but that did not work. I even rendered a new track with a hard pan to the left but still hear audio from both monitors
I am running this through a Presonus FireStudio and Presonus HP4 headphone amp.
Does anyone know why I cant hear the PAN?

    Thanks,
    Robert

Make sure the “downmix” button isn’t engaged. It’s up in the master section, just to the right of the properties icon.

Try plugging your headphones into the Fire studio. I have the same headphone amp and remember something similar I didn’t like about it, so I use the headphone out of my Firepod or Inspires.
