I have a cloud animation avi rendered in 1280×800 video and I try to add a dragon flying animated gif and pan it to the left, but before I can get to the edge of the video itself, the gif cuts off like there is a perfect square cut off line as I drag panning!!! it WON’T let me drag the gif to the full area of the video!!! if it remains in the center square area of the video, the gif is fully visible, but if I drag it too far left, right, up, or down, it cuts the gif file off and the more I drag it the direction, the more is cut off!!! the line where it cuts off remains the same on the preview for the same gif… but another dragon gif may cut off somewhere else in the video preview window!!! how do I get the gif to use the full video area of the video (1280×800)???

Open up your image in “Pan/crop” and then right click and select “Match output aspect” and then give it a try.
