right clicking on a key frame give several options. One is “hold” How long? ’till the next kay frame? What does it mean. Nothing in help about it

That means that the parameters will not change at all between that keyframe and the next keyframe. Then it will jump to the new settings at the next keyframe. If it is not hold, the settings will gradually change from the first keyframe setting to the next keyframe’s settings.

Yes, thanks. I finally figured it out.
an extremely useful feature I find. I am using it to good effect already.
