Pan/Crop/Track so that an object is always at the same place.
Before you say “Stabilizer”, it’s not quite what I’m after.
Imagine a video where someone is running.
Video is perfectly stable, BUT obviously the runner is jumping up and down on the screen.What I want is to do, is to “stabilize” the runner and let the backround jump up and down.
This effect is properly done by attatching the camera to the runner via some rig, but let’s just say this is not an option.
The first thing I tried was just to pan it manually with keyframes, but that is not precise enough.
Then I tried to first motion track it and use that track for pan/crop, but wasn’t able to do so. I’m thinking this should be possible, but I just don’t know how to.Any hints how to achieve this? Or does someone know a name for said effect so I could search for it.
