I’m currently working on a fine cut of a feature and I’d like to give credit in the end credits to Panasonic since we used their camera (much like we will be giving Apple credit for Final Cut Pro). My question is does Panasonic have a logo designed for end credit sequences? If so, where can I find it? I did a search on Google and on Panasonics site and came up with nothing.

I’m not sure that would be kosher copyright-wise without gaining Pansonic’s permission. In my movie I put a special thanks to Panasonic along with a Shot with Panasonic SDX900 Cameras title. As for the logo you’d probably need the go-ahead. Perhaps Jan will chime in on this one.

Normally, a company pays cash to have their logo at the end of any feature film. Why would you want to give any huge corporation free advertising unless they gave you a free camera or editing system?

    Think about it…

AVID pays $50,000 to get their name in the credits on major motion pictures. It’s all about money.
