Panasonic stereo mic
900 owners,
am considering buying the stereo mic for the hdx900.
it’s $1500 give or take.
we bought used with a mic rigged thru a conversion cable — is stereo worth it — and is there a noticeable difference?

For an on-cam mic? NO.
For times when you need stereo – you’ll have a sound tech. or additional sound equipment.Chris Tompkins

I half disagree with Chris. I really do use the stereo effect you get with Nat sound on shots, especially cars passing by or people walking/talking. I’m mainly a one-man band and don’t get the luxury of a sound-man most of the time, and especially one with a dedicated stereo boom rig.
Is it a must have… Absolutely not. Nice to have, heck yeah, it’s totally useable.
