Panasonic releasing camera with Cannon lens option?
Posted by Rand Courtney on October 7, 2010 at 1:04 amA producer on set today was whispering about Panasonic releasing a cross between the HVX and the 5D, something with interchangeable lenses that was priced around the same as the HVX. I looked all over the web and didn’t find anything… anyone else heard of this?

October 7, 2010 at 4:29 amThat’s awesome! I didn’t read if the lenses would be Panasonic brands or Cannon or Nikon… I hope Cannon. Anyone know?

October 7, 2010 at 10:42 pmThe camera has a Micro 4/3″ mount, which is easily adapted to PL, C, Nikon F, Canon FD, Canon EF, Olympus M, etc. Word so far is that it won’t be able to control Canon EOS lenses electronically, but pretty much anything manual should work wonderfully.
