    Hello,
I plan on shooting a movie using Pana HVX200 and mini 35 mm lenses but the tests I made did not work with Premiere Pro 2 or CS3. I can’t read or playback the files .mxf. Premiere doesn’t support them so I tryied using Aspect HD and converting the .mxf in avi using HDlink but the soft crashes. I need help. I read on other CC forums that Premiere now supports native mxf files but I really don’t see how. Hope to read from someone.

    Thanks a lot

The update to PPro CS3 that allows the use of .mxf files from P2 cards should be out very soon…sometime this month is what I’ve heard.

    Hello Addman,
Thanks for your answer but do you have an idea for the bug when using HDlink?

    Mathieu,
Hi. I’ve been playing with AspectHD and HDLink and
yes it is buggy. The darn thing crashes without any
warning. The best thing to do is make sure you know
what the format of the input MXF files are 1080i or 720p,
framerate and such. Then use the correct options in
HDLink for this mode. I’ve found that HDLink does a
poor job of automatically figuring out anything about
the files. Of course, I am still playing with some
test shots because I haven’t recieved my P2 card yet.
    Hopefully tomorrow!!!

    Hello Mark,
Thanks for you answer. The files I downloaded are 720P but there is no way to convert them and no way to play them back using WMP. The guys from Cineform suggested to install the drivers from panasonic website but I still can’t play the files. Can you? What did you install in order to do it?

    thanks Mat
