    Hi,
I’ve looked through my manuals and I can’t figure out how to get the information which is displayed in the camera’s viewfinder to be displayed on the monitor (all the usual VF information that is normally displayed during standby and recording as well as the menu information that appears when the corresponding button is pushed). I usually get the menu information appearing on the monitor when the ECU is plugged in to the camera, but otherwise it appears only in the viewfinder. I may find this out yet as I dive back into the information I’ve accumulated and try a few more things, but as I am in the middle of a shoot it would be so helpful to know this sooner than later. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to help!

Look at the back off camera. Open thew door where you set time code etc. You’ll see a switch that talks about monitor on off and EE, PB EE, off. Play around here and you’ll get info into your monitor.

    Good Luck,
    DH

The switch on the back is called character on/off.

    Hi,
I tried this before posting my message as it was the most obvious thing to try and it didn’t work for some reason. Hmmm.

    OK, Here goes.

In the VTR Menu (menu button pused twice?)
    In the function menu
    Go to Character

    For selecting the item to
    be superimposed on the
    SDI output signals.

    MENU:
    The menu screen is
    superimposed.

    STATUS:
    The menu screen and
    viewfinder status display
    are superimposed.

    Neither of these items will
    be superimposed when
    the CHARACTER switch
on the side panel is set to
    OFF.

I think this will help. It’s on page 113 of the Owners Manual
