Panasonic HVX200A/205A
I’m doing some price comparisons for the HVX200A and found that some people are listing a Panasonic HVX205A. Is this a new model, or a model merely for another country (i’m in the US)?

Hi Neal,
The HVX205A is a Japanese Domestic model with no warranty in the US. Warranty is in Japan. Lots of promises can be made on the part of the HVX205 about it having a Manufacturers warranty here, but they just are not valid.

Technically identical. But you do not want to buy a camera that has no warranty in the U.S.- do you?

Hi Jan,
The battery tabs on my hvx200 have broken, I understand this is a fairly common problem. What would you suggest as the best way to have this repaired? And will Panasonic help?
