Yes i think. With the hvx200 recording on tape you have more lattitude, and i guess the cdd have more bits, perhaps is better for the bluscreen.

If you can find a way to shoot DVCPRO50 instead of DV, you’ll find that the chroma keying is astonishingly better.

Go for the HVX200, you’ll have far better input for chroma-keying. But only if you are recording to P2-cards or a FireStore, on tape you’ll get nothing better than DV25 (4:2:0 color space). Recording DV50 is one option, it’s far better than DV25 (4:2:2).

On the HVX200 you might want to use HD, though. It’s 4:2:2 as well, but with the higher resolution you can get excellent keys. Any minor deficencies of keying will be scaled down when converting to SD and just disappear.
