Just received a harddrive with several hours of video that had been transferred from 2 HVX-200 cameras’ P2 media cards. The transfer was made thru a MAC laptop on location during the shoot.

Each P2 transfer is contained in a folder with these subfolders:

    AUDIO
    CLIP
    ICON
    PROXY
    VIDEO
    VOICE

Inside the video subfolder I find several .mxf files the largest of which is 4,176,595 kb. These files can be loaded into my project media clip bins and look great on the timeline.

The only problem is the timecode. Each clip starts with 00:00:00:00.

This is a problem as syncing the 2 cameras will be a nightmare. Even getting the clips into the correct chronological order will be difficult. What am I doing wrong? Is their a workaround? Did this ever work, even back in the Raylight days? Is the timecode data in one of the other folders? Is there a utility I can purchase that will get me there?

    Thanks in advance

never mind. The problem was fixed and in build 486.

SVP 12 build 486 reads mxf timecode.

I had uninstalled it and reverted to an earlier version for very good reasons at the time.

That is correct. I was about to inform you that the timecode
issue was fixed in the latest 486 build.
