Panasonic HPX170 & FCP
I just received my new Panasonic AG-HPX170P in at work today. We are all VERY excited about this camera and moving to P2 cards. We kind of bought this on a whim after reading all of the reviews. Before this camera we had 2 Panasonic DVX 100’s so the layouts are very similar and we feel comfortable with the functionality. However, we are looking for some pointers on the best settings to use in FCP. We plan on shooting 720P 24fps. We have also not been able to successfully get a clip into the computer and into FCP. Does anyone have any experience or ideas on how to do this? The camera/card is popping up in our finder but we just aren’t sure how to go about the transfer from the card to the computer and into FCP.
Any information would be much appreciated!

Click on my head at the top of this forum. Then look for my tutorial P2 Workflow for FCP 6. This walks you through the basic process.
