[John McLaurin] “I want to record an event with a Pan. 150 in 720p60, edit it in SVP13 then output to DVD in full screen SD”

DVD’s cannot deliver 60p. Unless you are shooting in 60p because you want to create slow motion special effects, I would record in 60i or 30p so that it translates to DVD easier.

[John McLaurin] “what settings do I need to have to make this happen??”

If you are going to shoot 60p you’re going to have to disable resample on all of your video events so that Vegas Pro drops the 60p video down to 30p which is loosing 1/2 of the frames you shot which is why I say, why shoot 60p if you are going to throw half of them away when you deliver?

Also, DVD’s are not exactly 16:9 but 720p is. So you are either going to have a slight black line on the side of your video when you deliver to DVD which should not be noticeable on a TV (which overscan anyway), or you will need to stretch the video when you render but that has a tendency to make the video softer so I usually just let the black lines show.

Also when you render use Best mode because you are resizing from HD to SD. You can set this in the Project Properties or in the render template.
